Be Day 2022
Be Kind, Be Loving, Be Generous
Led by Georgiane Hayhow, the friends and family of Brian Hayhow gathered recently for a day of giving - the Seventh Annual Be Day. Be Day celebrates the life and legacy of our son, Brian Hayhow, by doing good. This year, participants of Be Day donated and packed 10,000 diapers for Happy Bottoms diaper bank; donated and packaged hundreds of activity kits for patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital; and donated and delivered mountains of school supplies for the kids at Cornerstones of Care. We can no longer hold Brian’s hand, but we hold him forever in our hearts.
The Kansas City Zoo - Another KC Treasure
With the popularity of the movie Turning Red, it seemed only natural to visit the zoo to make a photograph of our resident Red Pandas. Our seven year old granddaughter, Brynne, happened to call me while I was making this photo and asked, “Papa, where are you?” I told her I was at the zoo. “Without me???” she exclaimed. In my defense, she was in Chicago visiting her aunt. Anyway, here’s the photo.
Big Mushrooms or Little Scooter?
Not exactly an existential question, but hey …
Colorado Interrupted
A photo trip to photograph wildflowers in Colorado this July went the way of so many travel plans. The photo below is an impressionistic digital art rendering of a photograph I made a few years ago around Crested Butte, Colorado.
That’s it for now, friends. Thanks for taking a look. As you know, we offer photographs and art at: ArtThatMakesADifference.org with 100% of the proceeds donated to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Let’s all Be Kind, Be Loving, Be Generous.
